Pattern Layers

Pattern layers are a special feature of Pattern Archive that allow users to modify what parts of the pattern are currently visible to them or what will be visible when using other tools like printing, coloring or downloading the pattern.

Layer List

On any pattern with layers you will see a list of the layer names with a check box next to them. When the box is checked, the layer is shown in the pattern view.

Clicking any box will immediately update the pattern view to match what you have selected. What you see is also what is downloaded from Pattern Archive. This allows you to disable unwanted layers for the method of pattern transfer you plan to use. The visible layers will also be reflected in the Color Picker tool on the bottom of the pattern page.

Layer Errors

Layers are defined by the uploaded file and can not be modified directly on Pattern Archive. If there is an error with a pattern or the layers, use the report feature on the right side of every pattern so it can be corrected.
