Roman Classic Clock
This clock can be made free standing by adding four sides to make a box. Each side of the box should measure 1/16" shorter than the corresponding side of the finished clock face. Stand the sides on edge, tack solder them at the corners to make a square, set the clock face on top of the square, and solder into place. The sides of the box should be at least 2 inches deep to stand well. A small light can be mounted in the box if desired.
To avoid seeing the quartz movement or its silhouette, use dense colors, opaque black, regular or colored mirror, etc. for the central portion of the clock face.
Make sure to check that the center hole is the correct size for the mounting shaft. If it is large, adjust by filling in with solder.
